About Us

WHO ARE WE?

The Saint John Valley Mustangs are comprised of three football programs:

Frontier Flag Football: An independent, co-ed, US & Canadian flag football program that provides a no contact, simplified, early entry point to the great sport of football.  Flag football has a spring season beginning in late May and running through the month of June.  Click on the registration tab for more info.

Junior Valley Mustangs: A Jr.-high age tackle football program that draws players from both the American and Canadian side of the Saint John Valley to play football in the Maine Independent Football League (MIFL).  This is football at the “club level” and not at the “MPA” (Maine Principles Association) level.  The club level serves teams that for whatever reason are fewer in number and have limited practice opportunities.

Varsity Valley Mustangs: As of the 2022 football season, the Valley Mustangs are now a member of the Maine Principals Association, and are the high school football team for Valley Unified School District composed of players from Fort Kent Community High School, Madawaska High School, and Wisdom High School.

The Valley Mustangs is governed by a board of directors and is fully insured. The Valley Mustangs is a 501c3 non profit organization.
